Thanksgiving Day 2002

After attending a special worship service at our church, First Baptist Church of Guilford, we went over to Northern Virginia to celebrate the day with Paula's family at her Uncle Larry and Aunt Jay's house. Tony, Paula, Uncle Larry carves the turkey.and Jordan had driven up the night before from North Carolina and we were looking forward to seeing them for the first time since September. Paula's grandmother was there as well as Jay's parents and other family members. We all had a great time eating turkey (that's Uncle Larry carving at the left)and taking pictures. Some had a great time watching the Dallas - Washington football game. Jordan had a great time playing with her cousins. It is a true blessing for families to be able to come together. Later in the evening we drove back to Columbia. Tony, Paula and Jordan came to spend the rest of the weekend at Nana and Pop Pop's house.

Nana, Jordan, and TanyaOn Friday morning Tony and Paula left early to go to Philadelphia and New York, while we took Jordan to visit her friend Tanya Brown at the Library of Congress. After leaving the Library we dropped Jordan off at Tony's friend Paul's house so she could spend the night.

We all got back together on Saturday and spent the evening watching TV. On Sunday, Nana fixed breakfast, Jordan got her hair braided, and then Tony and his ladies left for home.
