On Saturday, April 17, 2010, almost 100 family members
and friends gathered at the Omni-Colonnade Hotel in
San Antonio to celebrate the birthday of our sister-in-law,
Maria C. Jordan. She is married to Anne’s twin
brother, George/June/Tony (depends when and where you
knew him).
It was not called a “birthday party” but
a celebration of life as Maria is a survivor. It was
a surprise for her…she thought she was going out
to dinner with Tony and her son and daughter-in-law.
I understand that it was quite a feat for Tony to keep
it from her but he managed to do just that. Good job!
On hand were Maria’s sisters and their families,
many friends from church and work, and the best surprise
of all…her best friend since high school came
all the way from California. June's son Tyrone, his
wife and son were there also. It was our first time
meeting Patricia and Xavier.
