Recently, Anne and I attended two get-togethers
with friends with whom our relationships spanned over
forty years. They were two different groups of people
that represented two distinct periods of our lives.
On
Saturday, July 18, several of our new Sun City Carolina
Lakes friends, informally know as The Group, and their
families had a picnic at the Lake House pavilion. These
new friends come from Maryland, New York, New Jersey,
Michigan, Massachusetts, Florida and North Carolina.
We share the common bond of being part of this new community
and look forward to many good times in the future. More

Then on Saturday, July 25, we attended a "reunion"
of several our longtime friends. We have all known each
other for over forty years. We had the celebration at
Steve Parham's townhouse in Ocean City, Maryland. I
first met Steve at Illinois Weslyan University in 1961.
Others in attendance were Steve’s brother Carroll,
Bobby and Sonny from the Camden, New Jersey area and
Clyde from DC. We reminisced and reflected on the “old
days” when we did some wild and crazy things.
It was good to for old friends to get together one more
time. More
